Issue Two Call-Out for Submission

ripe. is back for round two! for our second issue, we wanted to hone in a theme that embodies the idea of food as an integral part of our society. from how we care for the many migrant workers who farm our food in Canada to the ways food insecurity impacts northern Indigenous communities, we landed on “food sovereignty” and now we’re ready for pitches! we’re looking for thoughtful essays, well-researched reported pieces, photo series, illustrations, creative fiction and poetry. please send all pitches to ripesubmissions@gmail.com by Dec 2.
